Dashboard

The dashboard is the home view for Workflows. It surfaces the most urgent items across your active projects without requiring navigation to individual registers or review queues. Every panel on the dashboard is interactive — clicking any item opens the relevant record in full context.

Workflows dashboard

Pending Actions

The Pending Actions panel lists every workflow step currently assigned to you that has not yet been completed. Items are sorted by due date ascending — most overdue items appear at the top.

ColumnDescription
DocumentDocument number and title. Click to open the document record.
StepThe name of the workflow step assigned to you (e.g., "Structural Review", "Client Approval").
WorkflowThe name of the active workflow. Click to open the full workflow timeline.
DueThe step's due date. Dates in the past are highlighted red.
ProjectThe project the document belongs to (only when working across multiple projects).

Clicking a pending action opens the document in the review context with the workflow step panel active on the right side. You can submit your response without navigating away.

Overdue Items

Overdue items are workflow steps, transmittals, or correspondence items that have passed their due date without a response. The panel groups overdue items by type:

  • Overdue steps — workflow review or approval steps where you are the assignee and the due date has passed.
  • Overdue transmittals — transmittals issued to you requiring acknowledgement that are past the due date.
  • Overdue correspondence — RFIs, TQs, or other correspondence items addressed to you requiring a response.

Clicking any overdue item opens the record in context. Project admins and document controllers see overdue items for all team members, not just their own, enabling escalation before they worsen.

Recent Activity Feed

The Recent Activity feed shows a chronological stream of events across your accessible projects:

  • Document uploaded or revised
  • Workflow started or completed
  • Step response submitted (approve, reject, acknowledge, review)
  • Transmittal issued or acknowledged
  • Correspondence sent or responded
  • Status changed

Each event shows the acting user, record reference, and time elapsed. Click any event to open the referenced record.

Project filter: Use the project selector at the top of the feed to restrict it to a single project. When you work across many projects, filtering to one keeps the feed focused on what matters.

Summary Statistics

The statistics panel shows live counts for the current project context:

MetricWhat it counts
Open workflowsWorkflows with at least one incomplete step, regardless of overdue status.
Active transmittalsTransmittals in Issued state awaiting at least one acknowledgement.
Unread correspondenceCorrespondence items addressed to you that you have not yet opened.
Overdue items (total)Combined count of overdue workflow steps, transmittals, and correspondence.

Statistics reflect the state at page load. Use the Refresh button to update without a full page reload.

Project Health Bar

Below the statistics panel, the Project Health Bar displays a row of compact indicators for the four main entity types:

IndicatorGreenAmberRed
DocumentsAll documents have a resolved status>10% of documents in Draft with no active workflow>25% of documents overdue for review
WorkflowsNo overdue steps1–5 overdue steps>5 overdue steps
TransmittalsAll acknowledgements received1–3 outstanding acknowledgements>3 outstanding or any acknowledgement >14 days overdue
CorrespondenceAll items at Closed or Awaiting Response statusAny item past due date>3 items past due date

Click any health indicator to jump to the relevant report filtered to that entity type.

Project filter

All panels on the dashboard respect the Project filter shown in the top bar. When a specific project is selected:

  • Pending actions shows only steps on documents in that project.
  • Overdue items is scoped to that project.
  • Recent activity shows only events from that project.
  • Summary statistics and health bar reflect that project's counts.

When All Projects is selected (default for multi-project users), all panels aggregate across every project you have access to. The project column appears in the Pending Actions and Overdue tables.

Set the filter to All projects to see a cross-project view (the default when you first open Workflows).
