Overview
The AI Copilot can generate complete project schedules from scratch using industry-specific templates. Choose from 10 project types, specify a duration and scope, and the AI builds a full schedule with WBS hierarchy, activities, durations, relationships, milestones, and calendars — ready to use or export.

Generation Tiers
Quick Generate (~30 seconds)
The fastest option. Select a project type and total duration, and the AI generates a complete template schedule.
- Open the AI Copilot panel.
- Click the AI Wizard button on the welcome screen, or type a prompt like:
"Generate a 12-month residential project" - The AI creates the schedule with industry-standard WBS, activities, and relationships.
Guided Generation (~2–5 minutes)
Describe your project scope in natural language, and the AI builds a customised schedule.
Example prompt:
"Create a 24-month commercial office tower with 30 floors, including MEP, façade, and fit-out phases. Medium complexity."
The AI analyses your description and generates a tailored WBS and activity structure.
Document-Driven Generation (~10–15 minutes)
Upload contract documents or a bill of quantities (BOQ), and the AI extracts key information to build the schedule.
What it extracts:
- Contractual dates and milestones
- Scope quantities from BOQ line items
- Duration estimates based on quantities × production rates

What Gets Generated
A generated project includes:
- WBS hierarchy — industry-standard breakdown (e.g., Mobilisation → Civil Works → Structural → MEP → Commissioning for EPC)
- Activities — with realistic durations based on template defaults and production rates
- Relationships — FS, SS, FF, and SF dependencies reflecting standard construction logic
- Milestones — project start and finish milestones at minimum
- Calendars — standard working calendar for the project
Regional Cost Rates
The AI supports six regional production rate databases for duration estimation:

Review Steps
After the AI generates a project, you can review it step by step:
- WBS Review — examine the work breakdown structure
- Activities Review — check activity names, durations, and types
- Relationships Review — verify the logic network
- Resources Review — review assigned resources (if applicable)
- Quality Scoring — run quality checks on the generated schedule
- Export — export the finished schedule to XER, MSPDI, or XML
Tips & Best Practices
- Start with Quick Generate to get a baseline, then refine manually in the Editor.
- Specify complexity — "high" generates more detail (deeper WBS, more activities), "low" generates a summary-level schedule.
- Use regional rates — specify your region for more accurate duration estimates (e.g., "Generate an oil & gas project for the Middle East").
- Run quality checks after generation to ensure the schedule meets DCMA standards.
- Adjust durations — AI-generated durations are estimates. Refine them based on your project-specific conditions.
