July 2026​

v2.19 — Dark Mode, Gantt Rewrite & Native Grid Editing​

Released: 02-Jul-2026

New Features​

  • Dark Mode — Light/Dark/System theme, switchable instantly from a top-bar icon or from Preferences; applies across the grid, Gantt, AI Copilot panel, and dialogs
  • Command Palette (⌘K) — quick keyboard-driven navigation and actions from anywhere in the app
  • Public Compare tool — a free, no-login schedule comparison at schedule.kazinex.com/compare, alongside the existing public Quality Checker

Improvements​

  • Gantt chart rewrite — canvas-based rendering for large schedules, a "Fit to Window" one-click zoom (right-click the timeline header or background), redesigned bar tooltips, and restored right-click context menus on bars and the background
  • Activities grid rewrite — native single-click-to-select + type-to-edit cell entry (see Inline Editing), a new vertical edit-rail of shortcut icons in Editor Mode, and improved empty/loading states
  • Comparison results redesigned — results are now organised as change-type cards grouped under Hard/Medium/Soft severity tiers with a full-screen drill-down per card, replacing the previous tab layout — see Comparison Overview
  • "Assign Baseline" now available directly from the Activities tab toolbar

March 2026​

v2.18 — Documentation Site Launch​

  • Documentation site — full Docusaurus-based documentation covering all Kazinex features, tutorials, and reference material
  • Resource Histogram — stacked bar chart with over-allocation indicators in the Resources tab
  • Resource Filters — filter resources by type, assignment status, and loading level
  • Check Detail Drawer — expandable side panel showing per-activity quality check results

Improvements​

  • Improved quality check performance for schedules with 10,000+ activities
  • Enhanced Resource Grid column sorting and resize persistence
  • AI Copilot now references baseline data in comparison questions

Fixes​

  • Fixed edge case where quality score could exceed 100% when all optional checks were disabled
  • Fixed histogram Y-axis scaling when switching between hours and cost metrics

February 2026​

v2.17 — AI Copilot Grid Commands & Comparison​

  • AI Copilot Grid Commands — ask the Copilot to filter, sort, group, and modify activities via natural language
  • AI Copilot Baseline Analysis — Copilot can compare current vs baseline and narrate variances
  • AI Copilot Project Generation — generate a new schedule from a text description
  • Narratives & Export — Copilot-generated executive summaries exportable to Word/PDF

Improvements​

  • Copilot confirmation workflow now shows a diff preview before applying changes
  • Knowledge & Standards module loads industry guidelines context

Fixes​

  • Fixed Copilot context window overflow on very large schedules
  • Fixed narrative export formatting for multi-paragraph responses

v2.16 — Collaboration & Real-Time Editing​

  • Conflict Resolution — automatic merge with manual override for concurrent edits

  • Change History — full audit trail of every project modification

v2.15 — Schedule Editor & Calculation Engine​

  • Create New Project — build a schedule from scratch inside Kazinex
  • WBS Editor — add, move, and rename Work Breakdown Structure nodes
  • Calendar Editor — define working calendars with holidays and exceptions
  • Relationship Editor — create and modify activity relationships with visual feedback
  • Resource Editor — add and configure resources, assign to activities
  • Activity Code Editor — manage activity code dictionaries
  • UDF Editor — create and edit User Defined Fields

  • Weightage Configuration — adjust scoring weight per check category
  • Quality Settings — customise thresholds per workspace

December 2025​

v2.13 — Comparison & Quality Foundations​
