Build a Board Pack PDF

This tutorial creates a multi-page report pack designed for PDF distribution.

Outcome​

You will create a cover page, summary page, detail page, header/footer setup, and PDF export-ready layout.

Steps​

  1. Open or create an output template.
  2. Choose freeform layout if exact PDF placement matters.
  3. Set page size, orientation, margins, header height, and footer height.
  4. Add a cover page with title, reporting period, and project context.
  5. Add an executive summary page with KPI cards and narrative text.
  6. Add detail pages with tables, charts, and supporting images.
  7. Add headers and footers for repeated context and page numbers.
  8. Preview each page at export size.
  9. Export PDF and scan page breaks, clipped text, and table wrapping.

PDF readiness checks​

  • Long tables do not clip important columns.
  • Headers and footers do not cover report content.
  • Charts are readable without interaction.
  • Every page identifies the report and reporting period.
