Build a Weekly Status Report

This tutorial creates a simple weekly status report that can be reused for future reporting cycles.

Outcome

You will have a blueprint, one draft edition, a designed output, and an export-ready weekly report package.

Steps

  1. Create a blueprint named Weekly Status Report.
  2. Add sections for executive summary, progress, risks, actions, lookahead, and decisions.
  3. Add structured fields for RAG status, owner, due date, percentage complete, and narrative commentary.
  4. Publish the blueprint when the structure is reviewed.
  5. Create the first edition for the current reporting week.
  6. Enter contributor updates in form mode and grid mode.
  7. Resolve review comments.
  8. Design the output with a status page, risk/action table, and progress chart.
  9. Preview and export the report.

Quality check

Before distribution, confirm every required field is complete, reviewer comments are resolved, and the exported file name identifies the project and reporting period.
